Over the past two decades, Erin AND Jacqueline have worked together developing successful businesses rooted in content.

In that time, they launched and repositioned some of Canada’s largest media brands, including Canadian Living, Style at Home, Canadian Home & Country and Canadian Gardening. As the media industry continues to evolve, Erin and Jacqueline have been channeling their expertise into building effective content strategies for consumer brands, focusing their editorial lens on discovering and delivering what matters most to customers. Throughout their media tenure, they have built a vast international network across industries from PR to e-commerce to deliver quality solutions to select clients. Whether it’s helping a national food brand reach new audiences through custom recipes by foodie influencers, positioning a tech brand’s television in the eyes of millions of readers on the cover of a national magazine, implementing social media campaigns that engage and build databases, or integrating inspiration and action by creating magazine-branded paint collections for one of Canada’s leading retailers, Erin and Jacqueline’s resourcefulness and creativity have facilitated a clear path to purchase for a range of products and clientele. Most recently, Erin and Jacqueline have worked with Lagardère International to launch the ELLE Gourmet media brand in Canada.

Like many great ideas, EllisPark.co began as a conversation around a dining Room table.

Long-time colleagues and friends, Erin and Jacqueline were working on a content project together at the antique pine harvest table at Jacqueline’s house (which happens to be on Ellis Park Road). Though Jacqueline has moved and redesigned her house several times (with the help of Erin, who is also a designer), that table has always remained—it was a non-negotiable around which Erin would pick paints and fabrics. On this particular day, Erin and Jacqueline found themselves returning to the topic of story-nomics. They realized that, though marketing, content strategy and editorial are constantly changing, their core always remains the same: the art of storytelling. It’s the non-negotiable by which brands reach their customers. Thus EllisPark.co was born—and at its heart, the art of strategic storytelling. And the main place it all happens? That same harvest table that was always the heart of Jacqueline’s home. It just goes to show: As much as trends in media and decor evolve, some things are meant to stay the same.

Jacqueline is an accomplished brand leader who has built and invested in several of Canada’s most loved media brands from launching Avid Media to leading TC Media’s English portfolio. Her passion for technology and solving content, creative, and advertising challenges led her to help fund the launch of Flexitive Design Cloud. Her breadth of consumer marketing knowledge helps EllisPark.co clients create successful content strategies.

ERIN McLAUGHLIN – Co-founder, Director of Content

For over 20 years Erin has held key media positions including Editorial Director of Canadian Living and Style at Home, Editor-in-Chief of Canadian Gardening as well as Founding Editor-in-Chief of Canadian Home & Country and now Editorial Director of ELLE Gourmet. Erin is experienced in building and executing content strategies for multi-platform brands, including branded product development. Erin is also a sought-after lifestyle micro-influencer.

TRACY MILLER - Director of Sales

An experienced media sales professional with 30+ years experience in both media planning and advertising sales. After managing the advertising sales teams for a number of publishers, including SJC Media (Toronto Life, Maclean’s and Chatelaine), Bookmark Content (enRoute) and The Globe & Mail (Life & Style group), Tracy joined the team at EllisPark.co to manage advertising sales for ELLE Gourmet, Canada’s newest culinary media brand.

 

GAVAN HOWE, PhD - Director of Research and Insights

Gavan earned his PhD in Human and Organizational Systems and has been developing highly effective research-based brand communications for 25+ years. His passion for risk-based research has helped many organizations successfully pivot from problem to opportunity. His strategic solutions are built on a robust foundation of rigorously gathered fact-based data that’s been analyzed to ensure success.

 

JED TALLO - Creative and design director

Jed worked in London, U.K., for companies such as Condé Nast International and Hearst Magazines UK before moving to Canada. He’s received numerous industry awards for his work and has created successful campaigns for global fashion and beauty brands such as L’Oreal Paris, Chanel, H&M, Tiffany & Co., and Mackage. Jed is currently the Design Director of ELLE Gourmet and the former Art Director of ELLE Canada.

 
 

PATRICIA KAROUNOS - Editor and Writer

A Toronto-based writer and editor who specializes in culture and lifestyle. Her work has appeared in the Toronto Star, Refinery29, Chatelaine, ELLE Gourmet, Toronto Life and other top publications. Currently, Patricia is the Managing Editor of ELLE Gourmet. Previously, she was the associate editor at ELLE Canada

Deborah Fulsang brings 20+ years of experience working in senior roles with some of Canada’s leading media outlets. She applies her CPG communications and content development experience to culture and style, food and beverage alcohol, wellness and beauty, design and décor. Current and past clients include Arterra Canada, The Home Depot, The Bay, Amazon, Shoppers Drug Mart and Sobeys.
